4th of July

I had so much fun planning the Sip & See for all of the babies at my work.  Total there were 7 under 9 months old with another 2 under 5 years old – talk about a ton of babies!  We were definitely busy yesterday.  I had planned for a month or so but even with all the planning, I still felt like I was running around like crazy.

I’ve been busy planning for the upcoming party I am hosting next weekend!  I have been having so much fun looking for ideas and putting things together.  When I saw the idea to put flowers in ice on pinterest a few years ago I was bound and determined to find a time to do it!  It’s super easy but makes such a statement.  I plan to use these ice cubes in the beer bucket (if you want to use them in drinks make sure you chose edible flowers!).

I have been pretty bored the last couple of days;  I haven’t really left the house.  Still feeling a bit of discomfort after the procedure but nothing that I can’t handle.  Since I have been so stir crazy, I decided to try some different looks on our dining room table using what I already had out from Thanksgiving.

This was our first Thanksgiving with a dining table and chairs!  I have been so excited to decorate for Christmas that I didn’t really think too much about what I was going to do today.  I had pinned a ton of things on Pinterest but really never went out and bought any of it.  So today required some improvising.  I bought the pumpkins four years ago for a Halloween party that we hosted – I had totally forgot that I had black ones and almost didn’t even use them until I looked back at my pins!
