This is my second Mother’s Day and now I have three baby boys! We don’t have much planned for the weekend but honestly, I’m really looking forward to it. Time is flying so fast. I can’t believe that the boys are almost 20 months old and Noah is close to 3 months. I told my husband that all I wanted for Mother’s Day were pictures of me and the boys. Since my mother in law was in town as well,
I’ve been busy planning for the upcoming party I am hosting next weekend! I have been having so much fun looking for ideas and putting things together. When I saw the idea to put flowers in ice on pinterest a few years ago I was bound and determined to find a time to do it! It’s super easy but makes such a statement. I plan to use these ice cubes in the beer bucket (if you want to use them in drinks make sure you chose edible flowers!).
Our bookcase finally arrived and I couldn’t be more excited! I have so many pieces of décor but I still think I will need more to make this look absolutely perfect. I have been studying Pinterest for ways to style a bookcase and can’t wait to finally style ours. I have been wanting this bookcase since we purchased our house 3 years ago – can you believe that? I have been looking at this for 3 years?!
Our trip to OKC started out as a bit of a disaster. I had packed for two weeks straight so that it wouldn’t pile up at the end. I purchased a cute backpack from Zara to help with all of our carry on items as I knew my hands would be full – thank goodness I did, it was a lifesaver. We also carried on our Ergobaby carriers which we love!
This has been such a crazy week! We received some very exciting news that I’m not quite ready to share yet…no, I’m not pregnant! But we should be announcing soon so be ready. Brent has had to travel the last two weeks so life has been exhausting. As I mentioned in my earlier post, I was spoiled rotten with gifts and here is a picture of one of them. Casey knows how much I love Voluspa candles (that’s all that we have in our house) and I had been saying how much I wanted a diffuser so she surprised me with one!
Back at it! I promised myself that I would write a post this week and why not today – it’s the perfect reason to start back at it – our little miracles just turned 6 months old. I can’t believe that it’s their half birthday! We have their pictures coming up and I am so excited to see how they turn out.
The last 6 months have been a whirlwind. I can’t believe that our little babes are now on the verge of crawling!
It worked – it actually worked (this is what I have to keep telling myself because there are days when it still doesn’t feel real)! The last three months have been quite the roller coaster for us. We wouldn’t have been able to do it without the support from our friends and family.
We started the testing process back in the fall to make sure everything was okay to move forward.
I just realized that I never wrote a post about my entryway. I was so excited to finally complete it that I only posted a picture on Instagram! I was also thrilled to get a call out from OneKingsLane for using their ginger jars on their Instagram feed – check it out here. Our entry is one of my favorite spots in our home- it’s simple, bright and big – it’s also the first thing that our guests see when they come over!
I thought today was going to be easy until I found out that I had to take the second shot. As soon as I read the message in my portal I started to shake. I don’t mind the needles. In fact, I’m getting pretty good at injecting but I am just so worried the entire time that I am going to screw something up while prepping. We had a really hard time tonight trying to get the medicine into the syringe.
Today was our first appointment for our IVF cycle. We are both so excited but super nervous. When we showed up at the office we had expected to start the drugs Thursday but instead we started today. I seriously can’t believe it – I still feel like this isn’t really happening! We had our teaching class to show us how to mix the drugs and what dosages are needed. For some reason mixing the drugs is what terrifies me the most.
